If you like to engage ideas and want to learn how to persuade others, try the Debate Team! The debate team researches current affairs to gain evidence to bolster our arguments. We train every Monday in room 73, with experienced varsity debaters. Once a month, we go up against some of the best debate teams in the state and country.  The format is "congressional", meaning groups are made for the purpose of chamber style debate.  The skills you will learn on this team go well beyond the activity. You will learn research, organization, counter-point, speaking skills, body language, and inter-personal skills.  Come check out the Debate Team!
